SHIPPING POLICY

1. Orders and Delivery

All orders are shipped worldwide via our affiliate courier Australian Post. We process and send orders during our main service hours, Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm AEST (excluding public holidays). Your order will be processed within 1-2 business days. Please allow an additional 2-5 days from this date for local delivery. Local Express Post is available on request but may incur additional charges.

All shipments that are sent by sydneyoperahouseshop.com are insured against theft and accidental damage. Upon receipt of shipment and written acknowledgement, this insurance coverage ceases to exist.

Please be aware that we cannot deliver to post office boxes. In case of partial shipments, shipping costs will be charged only once.

 

2. Packaging

We always do our best to package products appropriately to avoid any damages, however, if you do receive a product that has been damaged in transit please follow our Returns Policy instructions here

 

3. Shipping Carriers

For deliveries to Australia the price of the item already includes all customs, duties and processing fees.  

Postage rates are automatically calculated, and are based on Australia Post’s standard weight and size postage rates for local and international shipping.

Packages sent via Australia Post to metropolitan areas generally take 2-5 working days from the date of shipment to the date of delivery. Please allow longer for rural areas. International shipping times vary from 2-8 weeks.

If you are unavailable at the time of delivery or the package is over-sized, Australia Post will leave a notification card at your delivery address advising you of the nearest Australia Post Centre to pick up your parcel. Please check the Australia Post website for collection times.

If you are making your purchase from outside Australia you must pay any local duties or taxes (e.g. customs or import taxes) that apply in your country of purchase. 

Please note these figures are a guide only and we do not have any control over your package once it is with Australia Post.

4. International orders

Customs clearance may add to the delivery time of international orders and are beyond the control of the Sydney Opera House Shop. For this reason please allow 2-8 weeks for delivery. 

Any fees, tariffs or duties associated with international delivery are the responsibility of the customer. 

The Sydney Opera House Shop does not take any responsibility for meeting any legal requirements of the country of delivery.

 

5. Tracking your Order
As soon as we have shipped your order you will receive an email stating the Australia Post tracking number. 
You can check the status of your order one to two hours after receiving the email via the link provided.
